Glazed pepper Pot

Glazed pepper Pot

Look what’s ripened in the garden from Seibert & Rice!

Our beautiful Pepper Pot designed by noted author, photographer and lecturer, Ken Druse, has been transformed into an eye-popping focal point for the landscape. Our master artisan in Impruneta, Italy has glazed the Pepper Pot a magnificent tomato red color with a sensuous green stem.

This is the first time Seibert & Rice has offered glazed terra cotta. Glazing is uncommon in Impruneta, but Sergio is a creative artist who loves to experiment. When it’s the right thing to do, he knows how to do it well.

This 24" tall overgrown vegetable will draw the eye to the length of the garden and add a bit of whimsy to any space. Ken’s Red Pepper Pot has already found a new home at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden’s new Herb and Vegetable Garden designed by noted landscape designer Richard Hartlage of AHBL which will be opening in 2009.
